Það sem verður gert

We will be meeting in my cooking studio in a residential area of Shibuya. Let’s have a tea and get to know others before we start cooking. Everyone gets aprons and I will start explaining about soup stock that I prepare before guests arrive. We will chop vegetables for gyoza fillings. In this part, guests can practice their knife skills and also they can experience Japanese made handcrafted sharp knives that you’ll love ;-) We’ll be making fresh ramen noodle in this class, we learn my ramen dough ingredients and we’ll use a pasta paper to stretch. I always add seasoning tasting in all my experience and cooking classes, so that my guests can learn what are authentic good Japanese seasons taste like, and some of them are house-made. Most of dishes, I will show you a short demo first, them guests will make their own dish. Some other dishes are we work together. I will serve you fruity sake with meal. My ramen broth is chicken stock base and “tare” (salting part) is made of two kinds of miso, minced pork, sauteed few kinds of fragrant vegetables, and chili paste. Garnish with ramen tamago (egg), fresh veggies, and stewed mince meat. And, gyoza wrapping is a good skill to learn. Japanese style crispy thin skins are just delicious! Perfect to cook with others for a party! All are just tasty unforgettable dishes you will make again and again in your kitchen, trust me!

Staðsetning

First, guests will enjoy walking a residential quiet Shibuya area. Walking from Komabatodaimae station through Tokyo University Campus, which is the closest station from my cooking studio.
