Leila was very personable and patient, and a joy to work with. It was fun to get insight into the songwriting process and come out of the experience with two original songs of my own! She was helpful in bringing me out of my shell, and helped me see what I thought was gibberish as perfect fodder for an actual song.
It was definitely worth it to meet in person at the beach. Not only was it great to do the creative process outside (and our timing was during sunset) for the ambiance, but also because it was easier to collaborate and it made the session more personal and productive. I definitely recommend working with Leila to kickstart your interest in songwriting!

Leila is really impressive. She can really teach and help you feel comfortable at the same time. Writing a song in one sitting was really cool. I happened to bring my own idea so we went with that first. She also had another idea and we made a song from scratch.
I play some guitar and can sing a bit but she filled in all the blanks and gave me great tips all around. I’d recommend meeting her for a session/lesson whether you already have music skills or not. It’s hard to beat hanging by the beach playing songs with someone so talented.
