My name is Massimiliano Caldarone and I want to share with you my 20 years-experience in the sector of glass art and so, I start to organize these classes in my small workshop away from the overcrowded touristic places. I am a well- celebrated artist in this sector and I often show my glass artworks in national or international exhibition. The small shop is opened since few years ago with the aim to spread one of the most famous venetian art: the glass-making by lamp.

The class will take place in the artistic workshop in the heart of Venice, in a small and picturesque square away from the overcrowded tourists places. It is a very quiet place where the artist takes inspiration for his splendid glass artworks. The district, Canareggio, is one of the most traditional and Venetian of the city.

Massimiliano is a wonderful artists, who has mastered his craftsmanship of Murano glass making while also adding his personal touch and style to the art. My girlfriend and I attended the workshop in his cozy studio, where he told us the history of Murano glass, his personal connection to it, and demonstrated how to make different objects. Under his guidance, we made beautiful pendants and Massimiliano made us feel like experts after just one hour. He is such an easy going guy who feels joy while doing his craft and enjoys teaching it to other people. Thank you Massimiliano for one of our favorite memories of Venice!

We arrived with high expectations and were not disappointed! We were really impressed by the artist's way of working. Making our own pendant was very interesting and fun. The balance between trying for ourselves and getting some help from the artist was perfect. I would recommend this experience to anyone interested in murano glass!

This was WONDERFUL! One of tyre highlights of our trip to Venice! And we have the gifts of the glass pendants we made together. We also bought the glass figurine that he made with us as a demonstration. It is wonderful to have a personal and unique souvenir, instead of the boring homogenous things that fill the shops... Really enjoyed watching a master at work and learn about the history of glass!!... It is not easy to work with the glass but we were guided and taught very well to make simple but beautiful glass pendants. Very happy. Most important for me, was the pleasure of seeing a master at work in his craft. A unique style. Highly recommend :)!!!

C'est un très bon moment que de voir les gestes de l'artisanat du verre et un privilège de cette petite transmission de technique. Nous avons eu grand intérêt et fierté de pouvoir faire nous même un pendentif. Massimiliano est un excellent pédagogue et ses créations sont originales. Vraiment à découvrir!
