Það sem verður gert

Hello! My name is Anita and I am your local tour guide. I created a special day for you where you will experience Karragarra and Macleay Island finishing the day with a copper art workshop at my home. We will start a day at Redland Bay which is our departure point to Karragarra Island. Formerly known as a rabbit island, this is truly the Moreton Bay's hidden gem. You will walk in the island's tranquility and natural beauty. I will introduce you to the island's history and nature while walking on the beach and towards the island's community permaculture gardens. We will stop at Robbyn's pottery to enjoy the morning tea and to get to know the island's life. Next, we will walk to the jetty to catch a 3 minutes ferry for the vibrant Macleay Island. I will drive you around the island introducing the island's life and art & craft studios. We will visit sandy beaches, rainforest, wetlands, historical sites and beautiful scenery. We will walk in nature and enjoy bird and marine life. You may spot a turtle, dolphins, soldier crabs or even a dugong. You will find a leaf during bush/beach walks to use as an inspiration for afternoon art. After afternoon tea at my unique island's home, I will conduct a workshop where you will create your own copper art sentiment to take home as a memory on a wonderful day. At 3.30pm we catch up a ferry for Redland Bay.

I am people's person who loves nature and art. I have been teaching geography and history for many years. As an artist I am inspired by natural beauty, and as I like exploring different techniques, I came across copper sheets to design leaves to imitate nature. My home is deliberately dressed in copper art and people think it's fabulous. This lead me to offer copper art workshops which people enjoy tremendously. My husband Paul is a potter producing ocean fish in different colors and dimensions. We both are inspired by nature that surround us.
