A tour for all ages just outside of Boulder (accessible by Taxi, Lyft & Uber). Tours start at sunset and last for 2 hours. The show will explore the night sky with several large telescopes and a laser pointer. We will see and learn about planets, constellations, navigation, satellites, nebula, clusters, galaxies, maybe some shooting stars, and our universe. Through telescopes we will get up close looks at these objects and take in their beauty with our own eyes. The tour takes place at a easy to find trailhead (no hiking required) where phenomenal sunsets and wildlife are often seen. Guests are provided with a red flashlight, comfy camp seating, bug spray, snacks, hot water, tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies. Guests are encouraged to bring questions, wonderment, and warm clothing (it can get cool after sunset)

I can add availability on most days by request to accommodate your travel plans (the sooner the request the better, I would like to know more than 1 week in advance)

Please be aware of weather, tour is subject to cancellation if it is too cloudy to see any star

Hello there I'm Luke! Born and raised in Denver, I have a degree in astrophysics from CU, and over 9 years experience in communicating astronomy. Stargazing is my passion and I would love to show you the wonders of the rocky mountain high night sky!

Staðsetning

We will be in the parking lot of the Boulder Valley Ranch Trailhead as this will provide flat ground, bathroom facilities (pit toilet) and easy access for everyone.

We had a really amazing time! Although no snacks or drinks were actually provided, the host definitely knew his stuff, and it was a fun experience - would definitely recommend!

Luke was great, he is very knowledgeable & continued to take time to answer questions, as well as, continually adjusted the telescopes so we could get a better view.

Not only is Luke extremely knowledgable about what's happening out in the universe, he is experienced and put on a great show with a sense of humor, guiding us along, using a laser to show us all around the sky throughout the night. The telescopes were pretty epic. Really grateful for this experience! Thank you so much, Luke!

Luke did an amazing job. We had some cloud coverage early in the tour but Luke kept everything going and was still able to keep everyone engaged until the sky cooperated! We all learned so much and had such a blast! We had never been to anything like it!

Luke is immensely knowledgeable and a wonderful storyteller. He obviously loves the stars in our sky and can tell you basically everything about each one of them. Luke is very accommodating and brings so much to light. No one else does a tour like this; you have to see it.
