We'll meet in the cheese shop of Perenzin Latteria where I'll give you a company presentation in which I'll explain the main activity right from the very first origins. The company has more then 120 years of history!
We then move on to the ageing rooms, where are collected a series of historical working tools and where you can enjoy a video that explains the basic aspects of the production processes. You'll discover all the secrets behind every wheel and you'll learn all the steps of the cheesemaking production. We'll then move to the unique "caveau" where hundreds of cheeses are ageing. We'll smell the scent of each cheese and you'll discover the secrets of molds and ageing process.
I'm a cheese expert so come with all the curiosity you have and feel free to ask me whatever come to your mind!
The second step of our tour consists in a detailed cheese tasting of 4 selected awarded cheeses with a glass of Prosecco DOCG!
We'll go through all the aspects of a cheese tasting, from the different colors, to the fragrances and tastes. You'll learn how experts taste and judge cheeses!

This is a hidden gem and totally with doing. I had no idea about the cheese making process and to see it was just incredible. Not to mention the cheese tasting. We will be back Su day before we leave to stick up for sure.

We really enjoyed our tour with Erika. She gave us a great tour of the facility and informative explanation of the cheesemaking process. She also shared some interesting history about the family business. After the tour, we sat in the beautuful cheese bar and tasted four unique and delicious cheeses and three wines. Erika was very friendly and knows so much about cheeses, wines, and the area. Great experience!

A very worthwhile experience overall. The guide really gave us an insight into a segment of the Italian food sector that doesn’t get quite the attention viniculture attracts. She was both informative and very responsive to questions with a good standard of English. The tour itself is quite short but the tastings are the high point - a sensory delight savouring the range of cheeses produced accompanied by appropriate wines. Highly recommended.

Käserei ist seit 120 Jahren in Familienhand. Erika macht die Führung sehr sympathisch, geht auf Fragen ein. Angeschlossen ist ein schön eingerichteter Laden mit weiteren Leckereien (Schinken-/Salami-Theke, Brot, Wein …) sowie Bistrot, so dass man noch etwas Zeit im Anschluss einplanen sollte.

What a great experience. The 90-minute time flew by and Erika gave so much information. The tasting at the end was very enjoyable and Erika even offered another wine and her favorite cheese for us to try! Best value for the money and best experience! Thank you!

The cheese tour was really cool and informative. The selection of cheese during the tasting was quite varied. Great pacing during the tour. Now I know how to properly approach a new cheese :) The only thing I would improve would be to have the class run slightly earlier so we have a chance to purchase cheese at the end.
