Það sem verður gert

We begin the tour by rolling under the shade of the live oak tree lined streets of the Garden District. You will marvel at the beautiful mansions owned by wealthy merchants of the past and celebrities of the present. Your guide will tell you stories of not only the people who lived there but also the communities that built these amazing houses. We will cruise through the Irish Channel to see its colorful shotgun houses, neighborhood restaurants, and hole-in-the-wall po’boy shops. Your guide will take you to Magazine St. and give their recommendations for the best places to eat and shop local. You will also go into St. Joseph’s cemetery where your tour guide will tell you about the unique way New Orleans celebrates death and why our cemeteries are called “cities of the dead”. You’ll have a complete look at New Orleans’ “Uptown” in less than three hours.

Other things to note:
Though we will provide you with a bottle of water it is advisable that you bring an additional one.
Please dress for the weather and be prepared to be in the sun. Closed-toed shoes are recommended.
While helmets are not required in the City of New Orleans, we will provide you with one.
Guests must be able to ride a bike.

Face coverings are required at all times.

Staðsetning

The cemeteries, Irish Channel and the Garden District neighborhoods are some of the most picturesque areas in the City. Art, music, architecture, food and history blanket every square foot. We'll delve into the burial customs, history, art, architecture, music, and lives of New Orleans and her "Cities of the Dead". We'll pedal past sights you'll definitely want to revisit for a spell (sometimes a literal one).

Brian was our tour guide and I was joining solo for my first ever bike tour. The bikes were easy to use and comfortable. We were given solid instructions and able to store our purses/coats on site while biking which was such a relief after lugging around my things all day. The history we learned about the cemeteries was fascinating and the mansions we saw were gorgeous. Brian checked in with us often on questions/needs. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We enjoyed our tour of the gardens and cemeteries. We did this bike tour in mid February. I accidentally picked a date in March while booking for an event in another city. They were so accommodating when I explained my situation and we were able to do the tour the next day. The tour only had me and my husband which was quite nice. We didn’t go through really busy streets so if you haven’t cycled in a while, you’ll be okay on this tour. It took about an hour and a half. After all the Nawlins food you’ve eaten during your visit, this bicycling was needed. It’s not overly taxing but I could only imagine what it would be like during the hot summer days if New Orleans. It would still be fun but you may need to bring two bottled waters with you.

My husband, my 11 year old daughter, and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Corinna! She stopped just the right amount of times to give us fascinating glimpses into the history and the colorful characters of the neighborhoods and cemeteries we visited. It was a treat to see New Orleans from a bike. Great value for what we received!

Corinna was a great tour guide and great story teller. She was very personable and genuinely wanted to get to know us. The experience was something that we will encourage our friends who visit New Orleans to do! Her knowledge of the area was phenomenal as well. I loved the graveyard and it’s history! We felt very safe riding the streets with her.

An interesting bike tour. The host told us what makes the Garden District special. Seeing all of the homes was memorable. If you want to see the other side of New Orleans, then give this bike tour a try.

This was a great tour of the garden district. We saw one cemetary, so I feel like it should be called just a tour of the garden district. Loved it and loved our guide! She was very personable. Would do it again!
