In this experience you'll learn how to make the genovese PESTO sauce pounding all the ingredients in the marble mortar of my grandmother. She gave it to me together with the secrets of her special pesto recipe. So you're welcome and the experience will start with a glass of Prosecco wine that defenetely helps you to pound the fresh basil, the parmesan, the pinenuts and the garlic. When the pesto will be ready and creamy you will taste it with the testaroli, a typical local kind of pasta, and one glass of white wine. At the end you'll leave with the knowledge of my special and unique grandmother's recipe.

The experience will take place in a friend’s restaurant in Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre) and will be even more an experience linked to tradition and the territory.

I'm Luca, an architect with the passion for cooking. Since i was a kid, I helped my grandmother when she prepared the daily meal for my family and the special recipes for the festivities. Later on I tried to catch all the secrets from my mother's kitchen and after different working experiences now I'm the owner of “Maitè Bistrot” in La Spezia where I offer to my guests the real traditional food of the region.

The Restaurant is located outside the train station of Riomaggiore (Cinque Terre); the place is coastal and cosy that helps you to relax and enjoy the xperience. It's a very easy place to join, there are no stairs (just few steps to enter in the restaurant)

It was a very nice experience, Luca is super friendly. Very authentic and tasty pesto. Luca is very passionate about Pesto. Highly recommended.

Luca ci ha fatto passare due ore veramente speciali! Decisamente una bella esperienza, Luca é molto simpatico e conosce ovviamente molto bene il Pesto e la sua storia, che sa raccontare molto bene.

I had a great experience! Luca was very friendly and helpful, I got to not just learn how to make a delicious pesto, but also learnt about the roots of pesto traditions. The host later made us a tasty pasta which we had a chance to taste with the pesto that we made with a glass of chilled wine! Also, the location is extremely. I would totally recommend this to everyone!

Luca et toutes les personnes travaillant dans le restaurant ou s'est déroulée l'expérience ont été d'une bienveillance et d'une authenticité rare. Au delà de ça, tout était parfait, le pesto, le vin blanc, et tout ce qui a suivi. Merci beaucoup pour tout ça

L’esperienza con Luca è un must do visitando le 5 terre. Abbiamo creato uno squisito pesto, il quale ci è stato offerto con un ottimo vino ed una pasta tipica della regione. Abbiamo inoltre imparato molto sulla storia e la produzione del pesto! Fantastica esperienza che consigliamo a tutti!

L’expérience avec Luca a été incroyable! Nous l’avions découvert une première fois il y a deux ans et lorsque nous sommes revenus aux Cinque Terre avec notre famille, nous avons voulu leur faire découvrir aussi!
