We meet on the beach, get equipped with life jackets and paddle boards, while having a brief on-land orientation.
From there, we head out into the clear waters and go over how to properly stand and hold your paddle, develop stroke technique, different types of turns and tricks and take a few photos. The lesson includes 1 on 1 skill development, as well as time to practice and hone your new skills in crystal clear water.

I am an Advanced Paddle Canada instructor, Yoga teacher and Reiki Master, with a passion for bringing all bodies to the beautiful waters of Georgian Bay Ontario, regardless of age, shape, or ability. I started sharing paddleboarding experiences as a way to share my passion with the community and to show others that Stand Up Paddle really is for every body. Since then, I have paddled with people from ages 2 - 75 and so far, every student has stood on their board and left feeling confident in their ability to paddle on their own and rock a yoga pose or two on their SUP.

Staðsetning

The lesson will be held in the cove at Jackson Beach Park.
The sandy beach is home to crystal clear waters and the cove is protected from wind and waves.
Parking is free with a permit, or paid parking is available at the metre. *note due to COVID paid parking is unavailable, please contact me ahead of time to make arrangements if you do not have a pass*

Wonderful first time SUP experience! Heather is an amazing person, so caring towards our group. Her welcoming demeanor made all the nerves of first time stand-up paddling all went away. Heather was warm and engaging, she made sure that everyone had personalized attention and became comfortable on the water. For those that had more experience, she challenged them with a few yoga poses!

Great intro to paddle boarding! Heather was on point with everything from helping accomodate special parking pass needs for guests to making sure everyone got out on the water on time and had a great time. Highly recommended.

Great experience for a first time SUP-er. Heather was great to move the time due to inclement weather and once we all got on the water she had us paddling in no time. Fun experience would highly recommend.

Heather is fantastic and I would recommend this experience to anyone looking to learn. The 1.5hr lesson is well worth the value, Heather is an excellent teacher and communicator. She is passionate about SUP and SUPYoga and it shows in her patience and practice through teaching. We left feeling confident in our new skills and will definitely try SUP again! Thanks Heather!!

Just two words "Amazing Experience". Heather is a gem of a person and quite experienced as well. I really enjoyed the experience of Stand Up Paddling for the first time and would highly recommend everyone to try it.
