An intimate dinner in a sunny apartment on the top floor of Palazzo Loredan. Seated in front of the beautiful fratina (very long late 19th century table) at my mother's house, various dishes from Venetian recipes taught me over the years, but revisited in a modern key, will be served. My guests will join and live firsthand the experience of a traditional dinner but in a setting of excellence, surrounded by books, paintings and accompanied by good music in a large living room that overlooks Campo San Pantalon with its 5 large windows. They will also be able to dine making new friends by "social eating". It all starts at 19:00 with a welcome prosecco, otherwise with a cold non-alcoholic drink, and some "cicchettos". At 7.30 pm the dinner will start which will be in full Italian style, therefore consisting of an appetizer, first course, second course and dessert (the number of courses may vary). The quantities of food will obviously be contained in order to reach the end! A bottle of prosecco is included for every two / three guests. The dinner will end around 10 / 10.30pm with a small gift from me for all the guests, to leave a smile and a memory.

I've always loved eating and cooking ever since I could reach the fires in the kitchen. I have been running my Italian restaurant in the Philippines for 3 years. I love good food and my Venice is always in my heart, together with the flavors of its seasons. Only those who really know how to go far, can then rediscover and love what has raised and nourished them. I believe I can give those who come to visit me in the meantime a place to recharge their batteries and then a smile through good chat and genuine food, obtained only from local or Italian products.

The food was absolutely fantastic. And except for the 1 star Michelin restaurant we went to in Florence, it was head and shoulders above any other food we’ve had in Rome, Florence, or Venice. What was great about it was both the food itself, as well as the presentation and style. And the setting - his home. We started with Prosecco and three different kinds of home made breads. The first course was fish croquets and artichoke purée on a bed of radicchio and frisée. The second was a shrimp pasta with a sauce of a reduction of boiled shrimp shells and other fish bits. The third was a cuttlefish cake with a mint sauce and handmade polenta chips. Let me tell you about my previous Venice cuttlefish experience. It was awful. A pasta of cuttlefish and black ink sauce, and it was very muddy, and very uninteresting. And so I was a little hesitant when I heard cutttlefish was on the menu. But I shouldn’t have been, because Nico made something so different in style and taste from that terrible pasta that it was like day and night. Sublime, and delicious. We finished with a slate of blueberries and orange, and homemade chocolate salami. A little espresso. And a homemade cherry liquor with cherries from a local island. Be prepared for a wonderful and intimate evening with a professional chef experiencing traditional Venitian dishes with his own flair. Chef Nicolo's home is beautiful and cozy just above a tranquil piazza. The food is heavily seafood based but he was very accommodating to our needs to make the evening magical.

This was a very unique experience for me. i got to meet new people and learn about them. Also, Nicolò is a great chef, and all of his food was exquisite. I don't usually like seafood but i enjoyed all the meals Nicolò had prepared for us. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to have an authentic venetian dinner and make new friends.

Nicolo was just a great host. Imagine coming to Venice and having a private chief prepare a meal for just you and the one you love. Imagine not being in the crowds or having anyone else in the restaurant. Then imagine the the Italian chief does not rely on the historical Italian foods, but is innovative in his application of flavors and ingredients. Lastly imagine being served by someone who’s very happy that you are there.

The food and service were outstanding, the same as you would get in a top-notch Venetian restaurant, except you are in the cozy and intimate atmosphere of a real Venetian home and you get to meet and talk with the chef! Dinner was served in a huge living room on the top floor of Palazzo Loredan, which has a beautiful view of the Venetian canals. I appreciated that the entire 5 course dinner was prepared with seasonal and local produce. All this to say: I finally felt I was getting a true Venetian experience, and NOT that usual Venice for tourists fake stuff.

The dinner at Nicolò’s was an amazing experience. His apartment is a beautiful gem in a historic building with views of the canal and rear of Venice. We felt like we stepped into the world of a seasoned local, full of books, nice music and relaxing vibe. It was cozy and special. The dinner was an exceptional meal, with a variety of flavors and combinations, beautifully presented and perfectly served. We didn’t have any company but Nico checked in on us often and we chatted quite a bit about him and life in Venice, etc. It was a memorable experience I would recommend to everyone.
