Step into our virtual studio with the professional music producers on our team as they show you how to sample music from start to finish. We’ll be using the collaborative tools of Zoom with a free music-making platform that you can access right on your browser. By the end of the experience, you’ll have an awesome beat that you’ve produced, all from the comfort of your own home.
This experience is great for both individuals and groups! The collaborative experience is great for team-building and corporate events.
Other things to note
This experience is best viewed with a laptop or other computer with sound. While the music program we will be using does have a iPhone & iPad app, the app is more limited on these devices.

PlayPlay (Jess) is a NYC-based DJ, music producer, sound designer & educator with over 10 years of experience in the music industry. They are currently an artist-in-residence at Flux Factory, a resident DJ on Half Moon radio, and has had their music featured on NTS Radio, BBC Radio 1, and more.
DJ RAY BLK (Rayvaughn) is a DJ, producer, and educator hailing from Queens. He is the creator of American Producer's League (a popular NYC producer competition) and also has a music business channel where he provides advice to up-and-coming artists.

We had a great time making beats and a smidge of a song with Jess. Loved the intimacy of the class and especially digging into who has sampled what songs in the past. Jess was very knowledgeable and gave great insight into helpful resources to inspire our music making journey!

I signed up for this class as a gift for my niece who was interested in learning about beatmaking. It was a great experience! Jess was super engaging and informative - shared a lot of resources for her to try out on her own and she is looking forward to book another class soon.

My husband and I had a great time during this experience. It was a great change of pace from typical activities (especially with limited options during COVID) and allowed us to tap into some creative juices. I have minimal experience with music but Jess helped us to craft our beats into something unique and fun.

This was a really great, unique experience. I have no prior music knowledge or experience working with music production software, but Jess was able to teach me how to use the tool and create a song from start to finish. Jess was great at explaining how the different elements of a song come together, and an added bonus is that the proceeds from this experience supports a nonprofit that provides music programs to underserved youth. I would never have been able to learn how to use the software without help, and Jess left me with a lot of great resources to use in the future. I definitely recommend choosing this if you are curious about music production and want a hands-on learning experience!
