1) How to connect emotionally with any audience?
2) How to transform stories of pain and shame into comedic gold?
3) What are the 5 basic joke structures that EVERY comedian uses?
4) How to apply joke structure to your personal experiences?
5) What makes a great comedic character? (Understanding one's comedic flaw and blindspot)
We will also explore:
6) How to separate yourself from your inner critic.
7) Act Out techniques.
8) Understanding POV's (Points of View) and giving them the VIP (Vocality, Intention, Physicality)
**Whether you are a well seasoned comedian or simply want to learn more how to transform paint + time into comedy, this workshop will help you connect to your true comedic voice & understand the FUNdamentals of Stand-Up Comedy.

Iggy has performed with top comedians at the Comedy Store, Improv, Ice House, Carolines, cruise ships, and other venues around the world. Over the last 2 decades he has coached and written for dozens of comedians and produced the first ever Transgender Comedy Festival at the Hollywood Improv in association with the Los Angeles LGBTQ Center. He is the also the proud founder of The MISFIT TOYS COMEDY STUDIO, which promotes diversity and transformative comedy.

This was a fantastic experience! I never new I could take some annoying memories and turn them into hilarious jokes. Iggy helped me see how I could take my truth, and put it into joke structure, and make light of stuff that weighs me down. After our session, I couldn’t wait to call people and tell them my jokes.
