Let's have fun & travel to Slovakia! (at least with our taste buds and the best traditional pastry :)
During this online baking class, I'll teach you, step-by-step how to make the most delicious traditional buns in Slovak called Koláče and a sweet braided bread called Babka from scratch
I want this class to be as interactive as possible with YOU being able to bake, learn, and make the most of it. That's why I'll send you a list of ingredients, equipment needed, and a baking timeline right after the booking so you're ready to go once the class starts
WHAT WE'LL DO:
--> We'll start by explaining a bit about the ingredients, with a focus on yeasts as there are certain rules to be followed anytime you're working with yeast-based dough
--> We'll move on with preparing the dough and give it some time to rest
--> In the meantime, we'll work on fillings
--> Last, we'll proceed with filling, shaping, baking, and of course, tasting :)
PLUS: After the class, I'll send you three more traditional recipes that you can make with the very same dough. Yum :)

- Laptop/ PC/ iPad to join the class online
- Equipment: Oven, Kitchen Scale or Measuring Cup, Baking Pan, Rolling Pin or Wine Bottle, Mixing Bowl, Knife, Plastic Wrap or Clean Towel
- Ingredients: Flour, Sugar, Milk, Yeasts (Fresh or Dry), Eggs, Butter, Lemon, Salt, and some ingredients for the filling (all ingredients and amounts will be specified upon booking)
- Good mood and enough time for baking :)

This experience was so much fun. My cousin asked if I wanted to attend "with" her (we live in separate states). While we couldn't talk to each other really during the experience as there were other people there, we sent photos and texts to each other after. It was a great way to learn something and feel like I was spending time with people.

Great class! Lenka does an excellent job explaining each step and repeating several times to make sure everyone is on the same page. The recipe is great too. I highly recommend this class. Don't worry if you haven't really baked before - it's ok, you'll do fine. She will go slowly and walk you through each step so you're successful!

Loved this class with Lenka! She's was super nice and super clear with all her directions. I've loved Babka for years, so I'm happy to be able to make my own now and learning how to make Slovakian Kolaches was an bonus. Also learned some great new tips on yeast breads and pastries. Thank you Lenka!
