We are going to meet at the entrance of the National Observatory of Athens and then we will enter the hills of Nymphs.
There, in the quiet shady space we will start with an easy warm up and energising exercises .
I am going to explain the Breath Walk technique, which is extracted from the art of yoga.
In this practice we use different breath patterns connected to the steps.
The effects of breathwalking exercises include: improved breathing capacity, increased energy levels, mood control, refined mental clarity, feelings of connectedness.
The practice of Breath Walk can be adapted to any physical condition, age and background. Previous experience is not required.
While ‘Breathwalking’ we will visit historical places, using quiet and unusual paths, full of green and often with panoramic views of the city. Our first distination wil be Pnyx, at this site all the great political struggles of Athens of the "Golden Age" were fought out. Pericles, Aristides and Alcibiades spoke here, within sight of the Parthenon, temple of Athena.
Then we going to visit Koili cavity, one of the most intresting areas of ancient Athens.
From there we will go to Philopappos Hill is the highest of the three hills just west of the Acropolis.
At the end we going to visit Prison of Socrates.
We will have some breaks to rest, observe the inner experience and to reflect to the beauty of the nature.

I adore hiking in the hills around the Acropolis because it is such a unique and beautiful place. Imagine walking through an area that is very green, where birds are singing, taking a breath of fresh air whilst still being in the center of a big city, walking on the grounds of ancient Greece and connecting to the energy that this land.
What I offer is not just a hike but it is ‘breathwalking’; a technique influenced from the art of yoga. It is an easy meditation walk that everyone can do and it offers many benefits such as improving the health and developing a clear state of mind.
I have been working in the area of health and wellness for nearly 18 years and I am a certified yoga teacher and a holistic therapist.
