Það sem verður gert
After a quick pickup from the public landing in Portland old Port on our way out we will see the Portland skyline from the water. Moving into the bay past the lighthouses that have marked the way into the Portland harbor for centuries, we will move through the 200 islands of Casco Bay. We can make a stop in Shark Cove or Sand Island which both have great beaches to relax and splash in the water. Moving towards the Harpswell peninsula, be on the lookout for seals and bald eagles. On the peninsula there are several restaurants with local brew where we can make a pit stop for a delicious lobster roll or meal. Heading back towards Portland, we can visit oyster farmers and taste their products for a nominal fee. Make sure to save some of the beverage you bring aboard to match this delicacy. If you want to pull your own lobster, we´ll call a local lobster legend and arrange to pull some of his traps and buy his lobster straight out of the water. If we are heading back late in the afternoon you will see the sunset glow on our starboard side. Along the way we can make pit stops on some of the uninhabited islands, roam the woods and check out the local wildlife and the many beatiful birds that call the bay its home. The trip will end in the Old Port where Portland will great you with its plentiful hospitality
Other things to note
Make sure to bring suntan lotion, towels and swim gear if you want to jump in the water. A warm wind-proof jacket can be a great asset either after a cold swim or if we loose the sun. This is an open boat without any shelter. If there is a chance of rain, a poncho or rain gear could come handy.

My name is Larus, a captain and co-founder of North Atlantic Adventures. My Airbnb travels have taken me around the world, but the long nights and moderate temperatures make Casco Bay my home during the summer months. I live with my wife Kristin in a seasonal cabin on one of the small islands in the bay and we spend the winter in our downtown apartment in Portland. We grow oysters and mussels on our beach and do our best living off the land. We love nothing more than having people over at our aquaculture farm and showing people all the bay has to offer. To make the trips with our guests more enjoyable, we have a boat that can move quickly around the bay. On our travels we have experienced the archipelagos in Scandinavia on local crafts which was the inspiration for the Norwegian designed boat we would like to share with you.
