Það sem verður gert
Now is an exciting time for specialty coffee in Brussels, with new cafés emerging and initiatives like the Brussels Coffee Week, it's definitely time to explore what the capital city of Europe has to offer.
I would like to take you to a tour of some of the best places in downtown Brussels and enjoy the city in a caffeinated and unusual way. The coffee scene is small, but definitively worth it! Where to find the best cafés, good practice and what does it mean.
During this tour, we will discover the very heart of Brussels around the Kanal area. Sightseeing through Specialty cafés is always a great idea to enjoy the local vibes.
I will take advantage of us walking through the old district to introduce a little history of the city.
We will have a chat on various topics such as: taste, quality, specialty, labels, roast styles, recipes etc… you will also be able to understand informations from labels on coffee bags and buy coffee more accurately. I’m here to help and hope to bridge the gap between amateurs and professionals.
In order to challenge your taste buds, I will provide one specific sample drink per location at my expense. In the last location, we will tour a micro roastery!
Other things to note
We will walk from one place to another, along the Dansaert street. Bring comfortable shoes, MASK, WARM clothes and an umbrella in case of rain. Have breakfast before the tour as we wont take time to eat.
Sometimes the tour might last a little longer depending on attendees enthusiasm & questions

I am the founder of OK Coffee Tips - THE web platform dedicated to Specialty Coffee in French-speaking Belgium - and one of the few experts in Specialty Coffee in that area.
I operate as consultant, sales, columnist, activist and educator certified by the Specialty Coffee Association (2018-2021). After having been trained in France, Poland and Estonia, I started my career with the best in Belgium, then migrated for almost 2 years to New York where I worked as an adviser and educator.
I decided to come back to my hometown end of 2019 to share my passion with locals and tourists.
Beyond teaching, I collaborate with committed Belgian roasters, on the recognition of Specialty Coffee in Belgium and work for a better world "one bean at a time".
