I’m a Hmong woman and mother living in Sapa, Northern Vietnam. I run trekking trips in the rice fields and valleys around my village and have a recently renovated, boutique homestay in Ta Van village. I love sharing my culture, traditional clothes, hidden treks and local arts with my guests. You will always be most welcome to join me and my family for breakfast and dinner. Please note that both meals are included in your reservation.

Because Sue weren't able to join us, the wife of her brother Gee made the tour with us. It was only my husband and me so we had a private tour and it was awesome. Gee told us a lot about her life and how the village live. We had the feeling that we could ask her everything and she answered it. The hike and the landscape were stunning!!! Gee considerated us by everything and asked us, which way we would like to walk. At the evening we also met Sue and other tourist who slept there. We had a perfect dinner and felt so welcome. Sues house is awesome, we were able to finde peace and relaxed time. The view was great. We loved the tour and we would to this anytime again.

We have had the most wonderful time with Sue in her home! The first day of trekking was full of beautiful scenery and sue shared lots of interesting knowledge about the people, customs and the area. We saw many villages and learned a lot! The second day we learned traditional batik painting and indigo dyeing, which was so much fun. Sue's family are lovely and we felt very welcome and well looked after in her home. The rooms and beds are beautiful! The coziest bed ever!

This was really an amazing experience. We had a family member of Sue’s guide us on our trek from Sapa city to Sue’s homestay. He was very passionate and professional, but we also had a fun time. We were only me and my friend for this tour and it felt like we got a tourist free glimpse of the beautiful scenery and small villages. We were there out of prime time, in February, where the terraces are less green and the terrain more muddy, but not less beautiful. The homestay has a really good atmosphere. Delicious dinner with the family and the place has an amazing view. Highly recommended!

Words can’t even describe how amazing this trip was!
Eating dinner together with Sue’s family and other people was overwhelming, but the hike was even better. We saw nature at its best! I cannot image how to get to know Vietnam better.
Sue was one of the most loving and caring lady I ever meet.
10/10 definitely would recommend
