Uniquely located on the border of California and Nevada and nestled in the mountainous landscape of the Sierras, this high alpine lake is a destination for everyone from active hikers to nightlife seekers. Find your Tahoe niche whether it’s by hiking the picturesque trails, kayaking on the sparkling lake, or unwinding at the blackjack tables in town. At the end of the day, relax with your new friends around the campfire and enjoy the calming sounds of the waves rolling on the lake shore. On the first day, you'll depart from San Francisco and enjoy the history and hilly scenery of Gold Rush country. You'll make a stop in an old Gold Rush town en route to your mountain paradise. Upon arrival, your guide will instruct the group on how to set up camp for the next few days. Don't worry, we have everything you need from lanterns, to a stove, to the critical ingredients for making smores! The next couple days is all about experiencing all that Lake Tahoe has to offer. Your guide will show you the best hiking trails, scenic photo stops and organize any optional activities. At night you have the choice of going into town and playing a little blackjack, or enjoying the tranquil beach nearby camp.
